Kamala Harris- An Environmental Analysis

Kamala Harris Vice President Environment

 Kamala Harris- An Environmental Analysis

Note: This post was written prior to the 2020 presidential election and remains unchanged.

Joe Biden chose his running mate last Tuesday: Kamala Harris. She proved herself a fierce debater in the Democratic primary debates, but she dropped out in December. The race isn't over for her yet, as she is running with Joe Biden against Donald Trump and Mike Pence. We inspected Kamala Harris's environmental proposals and achievements in her political career.

As a California senator, Harris voted in favor of protecting the planet on multiple accounts. According to the League of Conservation Voters, Harris always had pro-environment votes, except for two times when she missed the votes. She supports environmental protection, and she was an original co-sponsor of the Green New Deal, per congress.gov. Like Joe Biden, she has a record of helping the planet, but that won't affect her vice presidency if she doesn't have bold plans to build off of her previous accomplishments.

She does. Kamala Harris wants to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord immediately. She supports the Green New Deal and creating a clean economy. She hopes to create more jobs while protecting nature, and you can read all about her plans on her campaign website from her presidential bid.

EarthPlex supports Kamala Harris as Joe Biden's VP pick. She and Biden both have what it takes to help the planet, and they have shown it through their experiences. If you're not eligible to vote, share this with someone who is!
